Question about resistance
hi all, ive got a question about light swit... just kidding
im not a sparky but i have a question about resistance in regards to ring circuits
id like to extend my ring to add in more sockets but the first thing i thought id figure out is to see what the current load is on that 32a ring.
ive seen not to use a voltimeter as it can be shit but instead use good quality multimeter (which ive currently got anyways)
now before anything, if anything i say sounds out of reach for a "intermediate diyer" please tell me and i will call a sparky straight away, this is more in the pursuit of knowledge and working safely so i can add more sockets without worrying about overloading my house electrics
would a EIC? (the fuseboard MOT basically) pick up any issues with load or does should i plan to get someone booked in for creating a new dedicated line for any new sockets that i add?
on that 32a breaker, there is a total of 11 sockets of the 3 bedrooms combined (im unsure of the total length as i know this is also factored in) and high load lines like the kitchen are on its own circuit and big power suckers like the 16a oven are on its own line too, so its just literally sockets.
apologies if this doesnt make sense and im happy to clear any of this up
