Latch

My baby is 4 months now. BF is starting to hurt since she's only putting the nipple in her mouth as opposed to some of the aerole and the nipple. I suspect that's why it hurts. I think it s called a shallow latch. How do you get them to open they're mouth now. What are y'all experiences please?!
