Question about subtitle translation

A friend of mine also likes to watch Donghua, but she's not very good at English, so she always watches it through a web browser and uses Google Translate's automatic subtitle translation to watch it in her native language and read the subtitles. This works on IQIYI, Viki, and WeTV, but it doesn't seem to work on Youku. Does anyone know why Google Translate doesn't work on Youku? Is it because she doesn't have a subscription to Youku, or is it a general problem with their website?

Unfortunately, I can't help her with this because I watch with English subtitles and didn't even know that you could automatically translate subtitles with the browser.😵‍💫
