Jurong east mrt

I went to jurong east mrt today after years and correct me if im wrong but didn’t exit a used to have direct pathway to cross the road to go to jcube last time? But earlier when i went exit a it was closed off? Anyone knows which exit is the fastest way to get to the traffic light that led towards jcube last time?
