I have questions as a month old YouTube channel

Is it detrimental to the channel to have both posting shorts and long form video, or they are on completely different islands?

My channel are focused on shorts for now to train my editing skills, editing long form video are surprisingly time consuming for me. So currently i am daily posting shorts, with maybe a few long form. I am just not sure how YouTube will handle both the short and long form, would they even clash?

And also another shorts question: for a month old channel, does having 800-1200 views per short after a week is acceptable or just bad? I want to know if i am doing ok or not. Thanks for reading this!
