Has anyone read my Dark Desire by Parker S. Huntington? I have a question about the mmc..

I have recently started reading it and I'm really confused.. in previous books of the series, it was established that Oliver is a playboy and fucks alot of women.

But in this book, he's apparently deeply in love with the fmc. And has been pining for her for 15 years .

Idk why they brokeup, but reading all his declaration of love, I just want to ask, was the mmc srsly fucking multiple different women despite claiming to be in love with the fmc?

Or was it all just a farce to distract his friends from his broken heart?

I'm sooooooo whipped by his romantic lines. If the guy has been sleeping with other women after saying such poetic things, I swear I'll dnf this book.
