Family issue

Not sure if this is the appropriate group to write but i thought that us cypriots have other bonds with our family. So, my mother is being married to a man for more than 15 years now. However, i feel like this man is «τζεγκενης», meaning that he is not doing ANYTHING. He does not work, does not take care of the house, does not cook-clean etc. Also, the house they are living in, is my mother’s house. He never bought a car. Even for this, my mother took a loan for the car. It is so sad watching your mother doing everything and support him financially and washing his clothes and cleaning the house.

I tried to speak to her, and she take his side. She says that i dont understand, that its normal etc. I even tried to speak to him to convince him to search for a job. And he said to me that he has some plans to open something. Which is a lie because he doesnt have the money and he is keep saying this for years now.

What would you suggest me to do? I know that it should not be my problem, but i cannot accept to see my mother to be a slave. I cannot stand it.
