Advertising Services in Australia

Hey guys,

About a year ago, I started advertising a repair service on FB. A couple of months after that, another guy started advertising the same thing. A few months after that, my ad was taken down with the reason that you are not allowed to advertise for a service on FB (I had no idea, but OK no problem - I'll just use another platform to advertise).

When I look through FB, I still see the same guy advertising his service and it was never taken down. I had previously spoken to this guy as we are offering the same service in the same area so I reached out to ask about his business, see how he was going and wishing him well (I try my best to be professional). We have both recommended each other's business when we are busy, or waiting for stock etc., so I told him about my advertisement being taken down, and he said it does happen from time to time. I stopped trying to advertise because it never got past the review stage after my initial ban.

Now, I see another guy offering the same service in addition to the original other guy, but when I try to put my ad back up it gets blocked.

Can anyone make sense of this? I see lots of services being advertised but it seems only mine is being taken down. Could it be someone reporting my ad, or is there something else going on?

Thanks in advance!
