I give up searching for a job

I made a post here earlier about coming here for a visit (my main purpose was to visit family/vacation) and thought I could apply for jobs as well.

I am getting no responses - infact, I would have to lowball myself to even get into this market.

I would rather stay back in Canada and continue to do what I was doing if that’s the case - at this point, I would give up looking for a job … my heart isn’t actually saddened or disappointed…it’s more frustrated and relieved.

There is absolutely no way I can compete in this market with my salary demands compared to someone else from another country locally here.

Just wanted to share that.
