EA888 Gen. 3 reliability is questionable

Brought my 2019 Skoda Octavia VRS245 for a regular oil change (which I do every 8-10k instead of the recommended 20-30), filters change (oil, air) and a check of the heating system. All the work was performed by “Volkswagen Automobile Berlin GmbH” and I was called to pick up my car after 2 days.

Right as I started the engine in their car parking, it made a strange metal noise, but was then running fine with no errors on the dashboard.

At the first traffic light when I started moving, the car started to heavily vibrate, “EPC” light came on, and I immediately returned back to the workshop.

A couple of weeks later the workshop denies any wrongdoing, Skoda denies any liability, and I am left with a dead engine at just 82000km.

There was no tuning, and all the maintenance was done by official dealerships.

I think the “legendary reliability” is just a myth, as this is just laughable.

My bike lasted longer than this engine…
