So I recently got my hands on Lattafa Eclaire and Noble Blush after seeing them hyped everywhere and, I was totally ready for my gourmand habibti era but my experience was... a tragic journey.

🟤 Lattafa Eclaire

I wanted to love this so much and I actually do love the settled down notes. The problem is the opening. The moment I spray it, there is this harsh burst of alcohol that literally numbs and chokes my senses for a few seconds. It is so sharp that my excitement dies instantly. Once that evaporates though, the scent is gorgeous. It becomes this lactonic, caramel leaning, old bakery vibe. Creamy and sweet and nostalgic like the smell of baked goods that have been cooling on shelves for hours.

But the performance is... tragic. Sillage is almost nonexistent. Someone has to be very close to your body to pick it up.
Longevity is also disappointing. Even when I layered it over unscented moisturiser so that the scent profile stays clean, it vanished within one or two hours. Only soft little whiffs remained.
I know this needs maceration but honestly I do not have the patience to wait several months just to wear something I bought with so much excitement.

🌸 Lattafa Noble Blush

This one confused me. On my skin the opening was like rose milk mixed with baby powder. Airy and feminine but also a bit artificial. Something slightly plasticky that I could not un-smell. When it dried down though, it became beautiful. Warm, creamy, very almond heavy, almost like almond milk. Comforting and soft and cosy. If you hate almond notes then the dry down might bother you because it becomes very prominent.

Performance is better than Eclaire but still not exactly loud. It gives me a soft scent bubble for around two to three hours and then becomes a close skin scent. Very natural, very elegant, just not very projecting. But definitely a thousand times better than Eclaire in terms of wearability. Also no scary alcohol blast at the start, which makes me wonder if some of Lattafa’s vanillic fragrances are just better behaved.

Now I need help.

I mostly wear designer fragrances. But I am very much open to middle-eastern fragrances.

My favourites so far are:

• Chopard Amber Malaki
• Chopard Rose Malaki
• YSL Black Opium
• YSL Libre Intense
• Carolina Herrera Good Girl Blush
• Givenchy L Interdit

I am open to anything except extremely masculine leaning fragrances that are heavy on leather, vetiver or very sharp aquatic notes. Those are not my vibe at all.

I want something that fills a room and offends at least one person...

If you have favourites that project like crazy or last the entire day, please drop them. I am begging!🫶✨️
