Should bisexual people in the Avatar universe be called “Kyoshians”?
So the Kyoshi novels canonize Kyoshi as bisexual. Kyoshi Island is named after her. In the real world, lesbians are called that in many Western languages because the poet Sappho came from the island of Lesbos. Sapho wrote powerful emotional content directed toward other women and has been widely accepted as homosexual.
So, by the time of Korra and Pavi, bisexual people in the Avatar universe should be referred to as “Kyoshi” or “Kyoshians,”. Under the assumption of course that this universe follow english linguistic development patterns.
