Does methylphenidate effect your motivation for exercise?

Diet & Exercise

Hi!

My question is essentially in the title.

I have always had a mixed relationship wirh exercise - interest rose and fell. I was obsessed with exercise or did not do it and fell in a rut of weight gain and sedentary behaviour. So far so classic ADHD-I , I suppose.

However since beginning methylphenidate my motivation to move has dropped off. My emotions are more regulated and I can concentrate at work but I am happy just staying at home reading. To mention, this may also be coinciding with a 'quiet and slow' phase and I have been meditating too also.

However, at my age my body needs to move and maintain strength. However I just dont want to do it. It feels pointless. I have no excess energy to burn off.

Has medication for adhd also had this effect on anyone??? Im interested to know if.this is a trend with that or just a me thing.

I am not seeking advice on exercise per se as its not rocket science -> I just need to do it. However you are welcome to share tips and advice if you like :)
