Thoughts On Super Animal World After Day 2
After spending 2 full days with Super Animal World, I wanted to share some early impressions.
Time‑Gated Content Feels Great
I know time‑gated content can be controversial, but honestly, it’s fantastic for players like me who tend to blast through everything too fast. It slows the pace just enough to make the experience feel more meaningful instead of something you burn through in a single sitting.
Main Questline & Lore
The main questline is surprisingly interesting. The lore is fun to uncover, and the requirements get more challenging as you progress, which keeps things engaging instead of repetitive.
A Much Better Gameplay Loop
The new loop feels way more rewarding:
• Queue for a match • Often there’s a quest tied to the game you’re about to play • While waiting, you’re not just standing around—you can fish, hunt bugs, or work on quests
Fishing and bug hunting are especially fun because chasing those purfect variants gives you something to strive for between matches.
The Lobby Feels More Social
Before SAW, the lobby was a single 60‑second window where everyone gathered. It was fun, but fleeting. Now, those social moments happen naturally at fishing frenzy spots, transportation hubs, and other areas. It feels more like a living world instead of a waiting room.
Matchmaking Feels Better Too
Because there’s so much to do while waiting, the queue time feels more reasonable. And if slightly longer loading means more real players and fewer bots, that’s a win. Honestly, if the player count stays healthy, bots might not even be necessary anymore.
Carl’s Coins Actually Feel Valuable
With the shop rotating daily, Carl’s Coins feel more meaningful. There’s a reason to check in and see what’s new. I love that there are now many ways to earn Carl coins too!
Final Thoughts
SAW feels like a more complete, more social, and more rewarding experience than before. I’m excited to see where it goes next.
I really hope the there are many more updates to come to build on this awesome foundation.
