Looking for texts about the Ensō

Im interested to see if there’s anything specific about the ensō, it’s symbolism and/or instructions on drawing and viewing as meditation. Ideally Im looking for actual Buddhist texts rather than modern/western interpretations, though if there was a particularly good article or chapter from a modern author with references to their sources do feel free to share.
