cooking competition show but all the judges are autistic
i think this would be such a fun and entertaining show
all the contestants are like gourmet chefs and the challenge is to cook common autistic safe foods that are actually approved by autistic judges. no fancy modifications; just something very simple.
there could be challenges where they are given instructions by the judges and they have to follow them EXACTLY or be penalized
^maybe this challenge has recipes submitted by one autistic person per chef and that person supervises the cooking process but isn’t allowed to say anything or help in any way (perhaps they watch from another room to avoid tipping off the chef with their body language or facial expressions). they could analyze the chef’s ability to follow the very specific instructions and deduct points for straying from the guidelines
trying to recreate store-bought foods and be accurate enough for the autistic pallet to find it acceptable sounds really hard; imagine trying to make autism-approved chicken nuggets from scratch
