Used to drive overseas.

First time buying a car in Sydney.

Single.

I expect to drive about 18,000KM annually (might travel outside sydney once or twice a year).

Would purchase something made in 2014-2017 (that is within my budget)

Two Queries:

(1) Ballpark estimate of how much do maintenance and other expenses vary between a hatch (e.g. Prius), a sedan (e.g. Camry) and a suv (e.g. Mazda CX-5) vary within a year? Which body type should I get?

(2) How much can I expect to spend behind my car annually?
