If anyone on here is doing a science T-level.. is it any good?

Questions

I really want to be a laboratory scientist that is my dream. I have had a VERY rocky education due to autism, ADHD and mental illness. I started a levels and never finished them because I had a mental health crisis, but I always hated the fact that you did 2 years of study to be judged purely on 1-3 exams at the end of it. Literally anything could happen that day and then you’ve wasted 2 years. This used to stress me.

I love education and feel as though I need it in my soul. I want to get back into it and being able to attend college is a whole other problem lol. But if I managed it … t level? I’m 19 now and like the idea of some actual placements instead of being ‘stuck at school’ and the lab practicals were the BEST part of a level chemistry. I don’t have the gcse grades for a levels under normal conditions (I missed 3/4 of secondary school lol), and was studying them in a specialist autism school. See my grades at the bottom which would just scrape me in for a t level at local college (but not a level).

I know I have long way to go in terms of getting myself together to be capable of mainstream college and placements, but, I can’t go on as a shell. So anyway, as it’s quite a new qualification, not much info. How is it taught? How many exams? What topics do you learn about? How many days a week? Is it engaging if you are passionate about the subject?

Grades: Maths - 5 bc they made me do foundation lol I got nearly full marks English Language- 3 and then 7 in a resit legit the greatest comeback of all time

Separate Chemistry- 5 (COVID no exams teacher marked. Did this a year early but then the good teacher left and the bad teacher doled out the grades).

Double science 6/5 - literally on common sense alone for the most part because of the aforementioned bad teacher that taught us nothing moved us all from separate to combined, I hadn’t seen 80% of the biology or physics concepts in my life yet, simply not taught.

History- 4. I also have an AS ‘certificate of recognition’.

TL;DR What is it like doing a science T-level?
