For people with aging parents in New York

Long-time r/AgingParents follower here, wanted to share a new resource:

If anyone has aging parents based in New York, you can now get them a care manager covered by Medicare to help you navigate the healthcare system (booking doctor’s appointments, applying for Medicaid, managing medications, etc): hellohera.com

I recently joined the company and am biased, but after working in eldercare for many years, I’m so excited that Medicare is now covering this (it’s new – regulations just rolled out last year that made it possible). I want as many people as possible to know it exists.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions. And cheers to all of you working hard to support your parents through this phase of life. It is a WILD system to navigate and it is ridiculous how much we put on the shoulders of families here in America.
