Stable alternatives for my midlife transportation crisis

Is buying a 3 wheel motorcycle at forty five embarrassing or empowering for someone like me? I've always wanted a motorcycle but fear of tipping over kept me from pursuing that dream for decades. These three wheelers offer stability without sacrificing the open road experience I crave desperately for freedom. My family thinks this is a classic midlife crisis purchase that I'll regret within months of buying. They might be right but I'm tired of living cautiously and never taking chances on things I want. The safety statistics are supposedly better than two wheel motorcycles but they're still more dangerous than cars. Would I actually ride it regularly or would it sit in the garage after initial excitement wears off completely? My commute to work would be more enjoyable and parking would be easier than with my current sedan. But what about weather conditions and my inability to transport anything beyond a small backpack realistically? The cost is significant but not outrageous compared to other vehicles I could purchase for similar price points. My wife is surprisingly supportive saying I should pursue things that bring me joy while I'm still healthy enough. That permission actually makes me more hesitant because now there's no external resistance to blame if I regret this decision. I found 3 wheel motorcycle options on Alibaba but I'm afraid this is a mistake I'm romanticizing incorrectly.
