c-1u doesn't pick up audio

hi i've just set up a behringer c-1u mic on my windows 11 laptop and it pops up in the recording tab but it doesn't pick up any audio. i've got all my drivers up to date, the allow apps to use microphone setting under privacy is on, i've disabled and re-enabled it, restarted my laptop, still nothing. is there really no way to make it work?

note: i have been using the same mic on a windows 10 desktop and it worked just fine
