MacBook Pro touchbar model
Hi I have a MacBook Pro with a broken touchbar.
The computer was given to me broken, I bought a screen off Amazon and had a friend attempt to fix it
It would fine for a few moths before the screen started turning off randomly if it was ever moved.
I assumed it was just a screen connection issue, but the repair shop I took it to said that the backlight is broken and my friend really messed it up when he installed the screen…
I recently bought a MacBook Air because I am in school and didn’t have time to go to other repair shops, so I don’t really need the computer (it’s currently used just when I plug it into my tv to watch stuff (since the computer itself still works fine just the screen doesn’t.
My question for you MacBook experts;
Should I try to take it to other repair shops where I’ll probably have to pay the cost of a new screen and the installation cost? If I did this I would probably still sell it after so maybe this option isn’t even economical
Should I try to sell it to a repair shop? If so a range of price you think would be worth it?
Should I just try to sell it online to someone who would use it with an external display only?
Or any other potential ideas or solutions?
Thanks
