Partially closed Hooker Valley Track -- is it still worth visiting?
We have an upcoming trip to the South Island New Zealand late March to early April.
I'm planning to do the Hooker Valley Track on the day we arrive Mount Cook. However, I noticed that half of the track is closed. Though the DOC site says it will be probably reopen in Autumn 2026.
Given this, would we still be able to get the sunning views by only doing a part of the Hooker Valley Track? Or should I start looking for an alternative track to do? (thinking about the Rob Roy Glacier Walk as well, but only have to do one track as compromise with family!)
Suggestions are much appreciated!
