Dog bit me during delivery

So I went on a delivery and got to the persons house and knocked and she met me on the porch, the order was pretty big (9 pies) and her hands were full so I kindly asked her if she needed me to open the door for her and she agreed, as I open the door still standing on her porch, her dog grabs my finger and I start leaking on the porch. I told the lady “your dog just bit me mam” she calmly replies with “ oh I’m sorry” and proceeds back inside without a care in the world or even sayin anything to the dog. So I get back to the store and explain I’m going to the hospital because idk if that dog got his shots as i also call 911 for an ambulance to come check me out at the shop. I explain to the paramedic what happen and he said file a police report and report to the animal shelter. I do so and go to the hospital and get my shots and get wrapped up, now the real question is should I just get my own lawyer and go after the home owner or go thru my work for workman’s comp? Imma go back to work tomorrow tho because it was just my finger and don’t wanna miss work. And idk if they test me imma be that clean and Imma be just screwed from the get go .
