Now I’m no big fan of this ‘unified timeline’ and for fans who hate retcons it’s gonna be something for them, and ok we got two games and a new season to a show nobody really asked for, am I excited? Yes. Was the first season better than the last. Also yes. So that raised a question, from what we last saw Sam and Lara were kind of the Amanda and Lara of the reboot trilogy, especially in the comics. Because when they leave Yamatai the spirit of Himiko was still in Sam, which made her go insane and hate Lara, now I know that in the end they got rid of her completely but no. What if they wrote to have kept Himiko spirit in Sam which twists her completely over time into this villain, and then she too joins an organization and all the villain stuff, and things could go two ways, either (this sounds a bit funny) instead of going with ‘Sam’she has her colleagues call her ‘Amantha’ which they just turned to ‘Amanda’, or her name is still ‘Sam’ but her code name is A.M.A.N.D.A.. now imagine Lara’s sworn enemy in the game was her former best friend, but now it’s because a legendary evil sorceress-queen spirit is bound to hers twisting her, for good.. Now I personally think the legend and Amanda’s trope can in no way be incorporated properly.. and even though my idea is cool.. Sams’ already free of Himiko and good w/ Lara.. BUT YALL GOTTA ADMIT IT IS VERY COOL..

a way to incorporate Amanda in the ‘unified timeline’
