Am I in the wrong

my dad started yelling at me because I opened the fridge for too long and it started beeping and he wouldnt stop yelling like always so i threw food in his face and then he grabbed me and started kicking me, and went away, but a few moments later he came back with giant kitchen knife and by instinct I locked myself in the bathroom and he started kicking the door and yelling for a few minutes but now he went away
