Backpacking nightmare

My partner and I were exposed to bed bugs at a hotel we stayed at for 2 nights, as soon as we noticed we left to a nicer place, immediately put everything in the bathtub and started combing thru everything - we sent all our clothes to an industrial cleaner. We’re almost through everything and haven’t found a single bug or eggs though there’s a good amount of sand so eggs might be hard to find for us.

We’re flying to another country tomorrow so we don’t have weeks to properly treat/heat everything.

Question is: if we haven’t found a bug is it likely they didn’t get into our luggage and we just got away with bites? I understand eggs hatching is a whole other thing but we were hoping to gain a bit of relief here. Anything helps.
