Do you think the band, especially Shadows, know how much their interviews about the Rev have helped their fans through grieving of loved ones?

Is this something the band gets bombarded with constantly? I always wonder what I'd say if I got to meet the band. I'd like to think I could tell Matt that his interviews about the Rev and how angry the band was validated my feelings when I lost my bestfriend, but then I remember he probably hears similar stories constantly and it probably bums him out. Are there any interviews anywhere where they discuss this?
