The Clown in the Picture

On the 16th of October 1793, a former queen of France, Marie Antoinette, was taken to the Place de la Révolution (now Place de la Concorde) in Paris. She was declared guilty of the three main charges against her: depletion of the national treasury, conspiracy against the internal and external security of the state, and high treason, and at 12:15 pm, she was executed by beheading with a guillotine. There is a famous painting depicting the execution of Marie Antoinette; however, a man dressed like a Pierrot (French clown) was not a member of the Jacobins and was smiling.

This is "The Clown in the Picture." The Clown reappeared again 108 years later, when President William McKinley was assassinated by an Anarchist named Leon Czolgosz, wearing the same clothes and smile.

He features in the harrowing photo of the Pearl Harbor Attack in 1941; his smile was disturbing.

In a picture of the aftermath of the John F. Kennedy Assassination in 1963, he is there, he is wearing the same clothes, and he has the same twisted smile.

He was there during the 1973 coup d'état in Chile, standing amid the chaos.

He smiles in the background of a photo taken in the wake of the Rwandan Genocide in 1994, his twisted smile in stark contrast to weeping relatives.

They were reporting that the clown appeared in the early hours of the 31st of August 1997, when Princess Diana died from injuries sustained in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris, France.

The News footage taken on the Morning of September 11th, 2001, he was on the Brooklyn Bridge, watching the Twin Towers collapse, and smiling before he walked away.

This Morning, it was 6:00 AM, and I woke up to watch the sunrise over the Montreal suburb. And I open the TV and open the window, looking out at the freezing winter morning. It was beautiful, so beautiful that I took out his Canon Camera and began taking a photograph.

"The Russian President warns NATO to stay out of his nation's affairs, as the NATO Army has stationed itself on Finland's and Norway's border."

I adjusted the camera photo to check how beautiful the suburb of Baie-D'Urfe is in the morning.

"While the Iranian Supreme Leader has promised that any NATO intervention against Russia will be met with swift and decisive military action from the Islamic Republic of Iran Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps."

When I checked the photo, I found someone in it, and there was a large bay window a few streets over. It contained a figure of a clown.

"Iran stated that it was not ruling out the use of tactical nuclear weapons."

He wears a loose white blouse with large buttons and wide white pantaloons, and he smiles in a disturbing, evil way.
