Gentrification?

I’m tired of hearing people claim that this neighborhood is deteriorating because new stores are opening and “white” people are moving in. It’s disheartening to see them dismiss the fact that these changes have actually made the neighborhood safer in recent years. Crime rates have plummeted significantly. As someone who has grown up in this neighborhood my entire life, I’m thrilled with the positive transformations that have taken place. The neighborhood is now much safer and more vibrant than ever before.
