Tired of excuses and waiting.

Serious

I wanted to make this post after seeing how many people here are struggling to find work, asking for resources, and trying to figure out what to do next. A lot of the entrepreneurship support available in Finland honestly just feels like crappy businesses trying to sell you overpriced garbage you don’t need. Because of that, I decided to create r/FinlandSmallBusiness.

I’m currently employed, but like many others, I make very little money. Supporting a family, paying bills, and dealing with extremely high taxes for benefits I’ll likely never see is getting harder every year. I started my own part-time business with the goal of scaling it into something that can support my family long-term and maybe even help my kids down the road.

I know I’m not alone. There are a lot of motivated people in Finland both citizens and immigrants who are getting squeezed from every direction. With poor long-term decisions, a declining population, rising debt, and government incompetence, it feels like the burden keeps getting pushed onto regular working people whose only fault was wanting a stable life for themselves and their families. At some point, waiting for things to improve isn’t a strategy. This community is about encouraging people to build their own path, share real experiences, and stop relying on systems that clearly aren’t working. Not hype, not gurus, just practical small business discussion in a Finnish context. Thats my speech, Im hoping at least a few people pause to look at reality and see just how fucked we really are.
