Wyze captured night time incident while Tapo / Eufy missed event
Just trying to get back to bed after a vandalism incident around my property. Some people trashed an area that had been targeted before.
I had Wyze v3 and Tapo c120 set up to monitor the area, and after a 3rd incident, set up a Eufy s340 camera as well.
During the day, all 3 cameras seem to record most events, although Wyze was by far the most complete and captured more events than Tapo / Eufy.
Tonight, around 2am, an incident happened in the area I was monitoring. Wyze alerted me and captured the entire event on both SD card and to the cloud. The Tapo only captured a small portion of the event (basically the very last few seconds which was fairly useless). What's most infuriating is the Eufy was the closest with the best view, and captured absolutely nothing. The Eufy did catch me going out to the area to check out things afterwards, but nothing prior to that, not even moving cars for the 2 hours prior.
I use multiple brands of cameras to compare the good and the bad, but in my experience, Wyze has been the most reliable and consistent in capture events, and the AI detection has been superior to my Tapo or Eufy consistently.
I'll continue to use multiple brands as redundancy, but I am infuriated that the Eufy missed the entire night's events, even though it was the closest and had the best view by far.
