Is it too hard to just work your own way? I just want to live the way I used to. I hate to rely on someone because I know in the end, they will just use that excuse if ever you fail or become a disappointment to them. Like I'm trying to be the best at something. I dont have proof but I'm trying
This is my second time taking the board exam. Before attempting my second try, I decided to work as a call center agent in my city. I told my mother about it, and she was okay with my decision, but I hadn’t told my older siblings yet. The pay was okay, and I had enough time to save some money and even help with the household’s financial needs. The job was good for three months, according to my contract.
When I finally told my siblings about my job, they were mad. I explained that I was saving the money for my review in the coming months. They said they would provide the necessary funds for my next exam. You might think that it’s a good thing that my older siblings supported me, but when I failed something I worked so hard for, they mocked me. They said I was too relaxed, which is why I failed, and compared me to themselves, saying they already had a job at my age.
I know they may be right, but please stop comparing yourselves to me and acting like you are better than I am. I don’t want any of that. I just want to live my life in this world, not become an idiot following others just because they are better.
