There's a band I've been into lately, even got to see them live in August called Kokeshi, and figured they'd fit here nicely. They are a progressive deathcore/blackgaze band who draw heavy influence from Japanese horror and folktales. They just released a new song called 六道の辻 (Crossroads of the Six Paths).

I'll post the lyrics as well, but please check them out. Nana, the vocalist, is insane, and her performances (rituals as they are on the tickets) are very well done and evoke strong horror vibes.

Lyrics:

Eyes of yours without light,
The last thing they reflected was only me.
As I gazed at the face that once was you,
I will soon follow you into death.

Tearing hearts apart and degrading them,
Pointing fingers from behind,
Scratching at the nape of the neck,
A life always within reach.
It coils around,
Dragging, smashing everything to pieces.
Stripping away the inhuman shell and devouring it.
So you were a fake as well—
I’ll cut and destroy until I find the real one.

Look—
The overflowing red rain
Wraps around me,
Letting me feel
That You were still alive.
The overflowing red rain
Wraps around me,
As I gouge it out with these hands,
Feeling a fleeting happiness.

Fragments piercing through my hands,
Everyone raises their voices in unison:
“Don’t go near. The curse will spread.”

Crushing both prayer and resentment, plucking away forgiveness.
Crushing both prayer and forgiveness, spinning threads of resentment.

Don’t let it live—kill it.

Your helpless,
Unloving, unseen filthy eyes—
I stab and break them, bathing in it.

The overflowing red rain
Wraps around me,
Letting me feel
That You were still alive.
The overflowing red rain
Wraps around me,
As I stab even these eyes,
Sharing a momentary death.

Nen nen korori, my poor departed one,
Let us seal that tainted mouth.
