Why are NBA Rookies playing great this season?
NBA Rookies this season has been insane.
VJ started it with 34 pt debut, and solid first 2 weeks. Before he got hurt. Now he came back, and just had another 22 pt game.
Flagg and Kon are neck and neck for ROY. Both have almost triple/double double 30 pt games.
Queen had a lot of near triple double game too. And he actually had one. And in that game he also scored 30+ pts. So he had a legit 30 pt triple double game.
Fears is also playing well for Pelicans. He and Queen will be the future of the team.
Harper has been playing well. Arguably the second or third best player in the Spurs right now.
Kalkbrenner is very efficient this season. Very solid big.
Ace is playing below expectations. But even he showed some glimpse of potential.

Is this just a product of stacked class? Or Nba Rookies are starting to be better in the modern NBA.
PS:
The 2026 NBA Draft might be stacked too based on scouting reports. It is a draft class where Flagg might not be the #1 pick.
