Powerstretch hardface isn't what it used to be.

So i took advantage of the new availability of arc' PRO to snag a favourite of this subreddit i had long slept on: the naga full zip 2.1

I used to own its ancestor, the fugitive hoodie, and was looking forward to being reunited with the best fleece of all: powerstretch hardface. However, much to my surprise, the current iteration of hardface is very different.

Gone is the recognizable gridlike outer pattern, its smooth surface, and the plush interior. The current naga textile is almost indistinguishable from the one used in the mainline kyanite hoodie. It is much thinner, the inside is an almost felt-like low loft, and save for being dwr treated the outside is identical to any other regular powerstretch.

Now don't get me wrong - this is still a great all purpose fleece hoodie. It's immaculately constructed and surprisingly warm for it's weight. But compared to what hardface used to be the material is simply a downgrade.
