Is homeownership actually worth it or did we all fall for propaganda?

If owning a home is supposed to be the dream, why does it feel like a nightmare half the time 😂

Like everyone hypes it up build equity, ownership, freedom but all I’ve gotten so far is random repairs, surprise bills, things breaking for absolutely no reason and me googling noises at 3am like a paranoid raccoon.

I’m starting to feel like society lowkey oversold this whole idea just so we’d all sign 30 year contracts and pretend we’re happy about it.

Honestly do you actually think owning is better than renting or are we all just trying to justify the chaos?
