Theres still one last chance, which is the steam machine. Dont lose hope yet.

Valve typically releases major half life games alongside improvements in the software, hardware or etc. Half life one was associated with gold source, half life 2 was associated with source, and half life alyx was associated with the steam index.

Half life 3 still has a chance with the steam machine. If nothing comes out after that however........then its time to lose all hope.
