Upgrading from 5 3500 to 7 5700x

I have a Ryzen 5 3500 and am planning to upgrade it since its quite old (was bought in 2019). My target choice is as said a Ryzen 7 5700x which is ₱9k pesos (or about $152). I know that the 5800x3d is a much better choice but there is not really a reliable seller here in the Philippines and I saw the cheapest price which is ₱19k (or about $321) which is not ideal for a student like me. Ive seen a Ryzen 9 5900x which was ₱15k (or about $253). Which is a better choice? The most recent heavy game ive played would probably be sons of the forest at high setting and I get a consistent 70 fps on 1080p with an rx 590 but plan on upgrading to a rx 7600 soon. (and no I cannot upgrade to an AM5 cause of ramageddon)
