I just launched an early experimental AI tool for car diagnostics — can i have some honest feedback ?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a small project recently, and I finally reached a point where I can share the first experimental version. It’s not the final product — just a lightweight prototype to test if the concept is actually useful.
What it does right now:
Takes OBD-II error codes and gives explanations, causes, and repair steps
Analyzes car photos to help identify potential issues
Lets you describe a problem in text and get suggested fixes
Provides extra details like cost estimates and recommended actions
Simple chat-style interface for easier interaction (similar to modern AI assistants)
Goal of this prototype:
I’m trying to validate whether this idea has real value for car owners, DIY mechanics, and even garages.
What I need from you:
Does the core idea seem useful?
What features feel missing or unclear?
Any suggestions to make it more practical?
Would you personally use something like this?
If not, why?
I’m not looking for compliments — I want real, honest, even harsh feedback. That’s the only way to improve the next version.

Thanks to anyone who takes a minute to check it out. Your feedback genuinely helps shape where this project goes next.
