How can I make Bedrock Minecraft run more smoothly without compromising the graphics?

I remember switching from Xbox One Edition to Bedrock years ago and immediately noticing that the game was far more laggy (not talking about the menu lag, which is also a problem), in fact it was the first time I had really witnessed Minecraft lag on a console. I decided to play Xbox One Edition for nostalgic reasons a few days ago on my Xbox One which is now 10 years old, and it still runs smoothly like butter.

On Bedrock, the game is mainly laggy when I'm in a forested biome of some type.
