The government run clinic is closed till Monday. Should I wait till then or go to a private clinic to get PEP???

I live in India and I was exposed this morning (Saturday 10am). The government run clinic that provides affordable PEP will open on Monday (around 50 hours after exposure). So should I go to a private clinic and get PEP (I am a student and it will be equivalent of 2 months of my allowance). So like will the medicine be less effective if I start 48 hours after exposure as compared to today???
