Took the plunge and set up a WhatsApp bot for my consultancy. Review my logic?
Alright, fellow founders. I finally automated my WhatsApp for my small digital consultancy after losing leads at odd hours. I'm sharing my setup logic below. Roast it or improve it.
My Main Goal: Stop missing leads from my website after 8 PM.
My Tool: Using a platform (like https://leadsloom.in/) to connect my site to WhatsApp.
Here's my automated flow:
- Trigger: Someone clicks "WhatsApp us" on my site.
- Instant Auto-Reply: "Hey, thanks for reaching out! 👋 I'm the automated assistant here. To connect you with the right person, are you looking for: A) A quote for a new website B) SEO help for an existing site C) Just a quick question?"
- Path A/B: If they pick A or B, the bot asks for their email and says, "Perfect. Our lead strategist, [My Name], will review this and get back to you personally within 12 hours. You'll also get a quick case study via email." Then it tags me in my dashboard.
- Path C: If they pick C, it says, "Fire away! I'll try to answer, or I'll make sure [My Name] sees it first thing in the morning."
My Reasoning:
- Qualifies without being annoying.
- Sets clear expectations for a callback.
- Filters "quick questions" I can answer in bulk at 9 AM.
- What I'm Watching For: I'll track if the email capture rate improves and if the "quick questions" actually get resolved faster.
My Questions For You:
- Does this feel helpful or robotic?
- What's one thing you'd change immediately?
- If you've done this, what was an unexpected hiccup you faced?
Not looking for tool recommendations, just genuine feedback on the approach. Keen to hear any thoughts or similar experiences.
