Can I just say this sub is great?

In 2020 I hauled out a sewing machine and started making masks. Then I stumbled on Melanie Ham's "Your First Quilt" and gave it a try.

Right now I have the Entropy quilt all pieced and up on my design wall waiting to be basted, and one of Donna Jordan's designs (Diamonds Squared) getting started with the quilting. I make all sorts of small items out of scraps-- zipper pouches, reversible bucket hats, tote bags, placemats, napkins-- and give them to friends, or send them off to work with my sister who distributes them to hardworking public school teachers. Yesterday I got a batch of photos of recipients holding up their choices and beaming.

I don't think I would be where I am without this sub, and I look forward to reading through it every morning. I snatch photos for inspiration and keep a list of ideas. It look me a long time to feel confident with how sewing machines work so I could troubleshoot, and I got all the information here. I don't think I have seen a single example of pettiness or snobbery. People knock themselves out to be helpful. So I thank all of you.
