Bars in Berlin with live music (rock, jazz, soul, etc.) or any music at all where they don't smoke inside

Hello, I'm visiting a friend in Berlin, and everything is great, but he doesn't know his way in the night. I like smaller bars/pubs not huge ones, with live or non live music and a good atmosphere, but also without smoking inside. You could point about specific places or streets and areas to explore.
