Student finance inquiry

Hello, I applied for student finance for a degree starting in 2 months, having generalised anxiety and ptsd I thought it would be a great idea to apply for disability allowance. I realise however that getting a diagnostic in time is quite complicated. Should I start a new application without disability allowance or should I just wait until I hear from them? Thank you!
