Did You Regret Living on a Major Road?

Tell me all your experiences about living on a major Chicago road (outside the loop). I've always lived on a smaller side street which meant easier parking, less noise and traffic, and having a 'block.' Found a place that checks all the boxes except that. Will I regret it? Do you feel included in the blocks behind/adjacent to you?
