Medical exam - True Story

This week I went to the doctor for a penile ultrasound because of an inflamed nerve that appeared near my penis head.

I was nervous because, although I was curious about what the experience would be like (I had never been to a urologist before), I didn't know who would be doing the exam—whether it was a man, a woman, old, young, whether it would be just one doctor during the exam, or if there would be a nurse present.

Anyway, I arrived at the examination room and a male nurse asked me to take off only my pants and put on a medical gown. He was about my age, 30 years old, with a fit body. I did so, he asked me to lie down in the examination table and that the doctor would come shortly, and then he left the room.

Soon after, the doctor arrived; he was around 42 years old, also a fit body, with a firm voice and serious demeanor.

Then, he asked the reason for the exam, and I told him about the appearance of the "undefined structure" near the glans, so he asked to see it. At that moment I pulled off the sheet covering me and lowered my underwear, I was so embarrassed that my penis was shrunken (you must understand what I mean), plus the air conditioning was freezing cold in the room.

He looked at the structure, said it was probably a bulging vein, nothing to worry about, and then started the ultrasound exam.

He took the ultrasound electrode, positioned my penis with his gloved hand towards my navel, and applied gel to my penis. At that moment I was embarrassed by my shrunken penis; I like it as it is, but the air was so cold that I didn't like the "unfair" impression I was giving off, lol.

While I was having these thoughts, the doctor continued moving the electrode over my penis, in various regions, sides, etc. Spoken communication between us was minimal. When he reached the glans, the "problem" began.

He placed the electrode between the head of my penis and the shaft, right over the frenulum of the foreskin, and moved the electrode there, slowly going up and down with light pressure, going up to the glans and down, up and down.

I don't know how long it normally takes to assess that area, but it seemed like a prolonged time there. Then, my penis began to harden, and once it starts, it doesn't stop. In a few seconds, my penis, which had been so shy, was in all its glory at 7.1 inches (I measured it when I was a teenager, I don't even know what it's like now). I was honestly proud of my erection, because he was seeing the reality, not what my embarrassment and the freezing cold were causing, lol.

Despite my penis being completely hard, I remained totally silent until the doctor said, "Did it wake up a bit, man?", and I, completely embarrassed, said, "Yeah... I was afraid that's exactly what would happen," he didn't say anything else.

He went back to moving the electrode all over my penis, over areas he had already touched before, I believe to get new images. I kept wondering, "Did he get hard seeing mine too? lol," he seemed straight, but we know that doesn't mean anything.

Eventually, my penis softened, and he started examining my testicles with the ultrasound. Everything was fine; I was almost completely flaccid when he began to examine the "root" of my penis, there between the penis and the anus.

Again, the up-and-down movement with light pressure from the electrode began. And my penis became erect again, completely, in seconds. This time nobody said anything, and soon after he finished the exam, took off his gloves, and made a joke, "You said you were afraid of getting an erection. But what I'm telling you is: when you get old, your fear will be of NOT getting an erection," we both laughed.

He explained that the inflamed vein was nothing, and that I shouldn't worry. Then he left and the nurse returned. I was in my underwear and still wearing my hospital gown, and since my penis still had a lot of ultrasound gel on it, I decided to pull down my underwear and wipe it with toilet paper right there, close to the nurse, so that if he wanted to, he could see it.

Since one guy had seen my bare penis, I thought it was only fair that the other one had the opportunity to see it too, lol.

I got a slight erection, and the nurse continued tidying things up in the exam room during those 30 seconds of cleaning, while glancing furtively. We both in silence.

I pulled up my underwear, put on my pants, and left thinking that I should have tried to talk more with the doctor or the nurse. But, I'm married, and I didn't want to cross any lines. Just bros being bros, while (at least me) erect.
