Do you stay with your baby while they nap?

My baby boy is 7 months old and he naps three times a day, though we’re slowly dropping the third nap. He naps longer when I’m next to him or when he contact naps. But if I do that, I literally can’t do anything.

When he is awake, he is super clingy. I can’t put him down at all—he screams when I try. He always wants to be held, and even when we lie down together, he wants to sit on top of me and play like that. I think he’s teething again, which definitely doesn’t help.

Do you stay with your baby while they nap, or should I just be grateful for whatever time I get and do as much as I can during that short time?
