Moza R3 Buttons dont always work

The buttons like the shifter paddles and other actual buttons work immediately after I connect the wheel to the wheelbase, but like 20-30 seconds after they just stop working? The steering brake and pedal will all work just not the buttons. What could the problem be am I in some weird mode that I need to switch out of? ES wheel btww.
